bow b43 offers a biodegradable alternative to single use bubble wrap. Made of a resin derived from plant cellulose, b43’s tear and puncture resistance, and non slip surface, protect goods in transit.
composition & production
The production of b43 is similar to the production of virgin bubble wrap, the key difference being the raw material.
The raw material is plant cellulose, which is blended with an additive into a resin. It’s this additive that makes the material biodegradable. Once it reaches a waste facility, microbes will break down b43 into biomass and other organic materials over the course of 6 – 9 months.
post consumer
100% biodegradable and compostable, as outlined in the testing protocols and biodegradation regulations achieved below.
limitations
With the exception of being slightly opaque, b43 offers a similar performance to bubble wrap made of virgin plastic.
accreditations
Material accredited by Din Certco for ASTM D6400-USA, EN13432-EU, ISO 17088:2012 and ISO 18606:2013
